The language competence is highly valuable and demanded in the professional world. Nowadays, being fluent in Englishis given for granted, therefore it is one of the top prerrequisities to get a job, mainly in tourism.

However, it is not only a matter of communication. There is something else, as entrepreurs expect from you much more than imagined: to manage professional situations in English. That means:

·to attend meetings

·to write down ideas

·to summarize and choose conclusions from reports, interviews, discussions,...

·to be able to negotiate

·to introduce your company to customers or to other professionals

·to prepare, structure, express, comment on, defend... an original idea you have to improve to be offered to your manager

·to write good and elegant letters to customers, to other colleagues, to providers, etc. informing, apologising, complaining, confirming a service, etc.

The main textbook for this year is the same set used in Inglés Aplicado al Turismo III (Units: 3, 4, 6, 7, 10)

·Peter STRUTT. 2013. English for International Tourism. Upper Intermediate. Pearson (Student's Book and Workbook). New Edition

·Anna COWPER. 2013. English for International Tourism. Upper Intermediate. Pearson (Workbook). New Edition

Other class material is also announced in the Campus Virtual

My true desire is to give the class the best marks each one deserves and get.

Attendance to classs, as you can see above, it is extremely recommended and advisable.
